Concrete Pressure Lifting

Have a concrete pressure lifting question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • What type of material are you pumping?

For mudjacking, we use a Class 5 base material called ag-lime, which has small rocks in the material. It is an eco-friendly option without chemicals.

  • What type of caulking do you use?

For caulking, we use a polyurethane commercial-grade product called Dymonic. It's especially effective when paired with concrete raising, as it helps seal joints and maintain the integrity of the lifted concrete.

  • Can your services be completed in the winter?

Mudjacking can typically be performed from the time the ground thaws in spring until it freezes in winter. However, interior projects like warehouse floors can often be completed year-round, including during winter, depending on conditions.

  • What types of concrete can you lift?

At Concrete Pressure Lifting, we specialize in concrete raising for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This includes lifting pools, patios, sidewalks, driveways, curbs and gutters, interior warehouse floors, garage floors, entry stoops, and more. We also offer helical pier installation for situations requiring deeper structural support, such as stabilizing foundations or preventing further settlement.

  • What is concrete pressure lifting?

Concrete pressure lifting consists of drilling holes into settled or voided concrete and then high-pressure injecting a non-shrink grout called ag-lime to raise the concrete back into place. This method is effective for a variety of applications, including restoring the stability of settled deck footings and other structural concrete elements.

  • What is the benefit of mudjacking over concrete replacement?

Mudjacking is faster and more affordable. It creates less mess and disruption, is an eco-friendly option, and extends the life of existing concrete.

  • What is the cost difference of mudjacking versus concrete replacement?

We have found that mudjacking costs approximately 50-75% less than a concrete replacement.

  • Why is caulking beneficial?

Caulking helps prevent future settlement by stopping water from seeping through open spacing and separations in your concrete. When combined with concrete raising, it helps preserve the integrity of the lift and extends the life of your concrete surfaces.

  • Why choose mudjacking over polyfoam jacking?

Mudjacking is typically more affordable, offers a more stable lift, and allows for greater precision during the process. It uses an eco-friendly, chemical-free material. During our mudjacking process, we drill strategic holes that let us monitor and control the flow of material, resulting in a more accurate application and longer-lasting results.
